Marc Burrows, an amateur soccer player, was awarded as the fastest scorer in the world within two and a half seconds. Awards were given English football association (FA), on Tuesday told the players the club Cowes Sports. He scored when his club faced Eastleigh in an amateur league match on 3 April. Parties to the FA gave the award after gaining certainty about that record based on referee reports John Sorrell. "Now we can say Mark's goal is the fastest goal as we know," the FA said in a statement.
Burrows admitted goal is created with the help of the wind. When you know the wind was blowing hard he kicked the ball straight into the opponent's goal. "The wind is very hard so I thought it would be a goal. The ball beyond the goalkeeper. I am very surprised that only could laugh, holding up his hand," said Burrows.
